Hi I am new to this !  I am so insenc ed, about how much mony people are getting from benifits!!!  I gave up work last october, after haveing 6 operations in 3 years because a hospital messed up the first one!!!  I lived on my saveings untill july this year, as I thought that was expected from me..since then I have sighned on but they wont give me anything at jobseekers.....and now i am off sick, they pay me £33 a week but because the councill tax people allowed me £13 a month allowance, for 2 months..They are now takeing it back, so untill march next year I have to pay an extra £11 a month to give it back....This is so unfair, no one will listen to me that I cant live on thin air..The trouble is I get £590 a month from my x husband in efect half his pention...I am 59 years old and never been on benifit in any way even when I was on my own with one child in my 20s....I have to pay my morgage councill tax, house insurance phone, and car on this mony, oh and elictric.....when I run out of oil i wont have any heating but they all say I am getting to much mony!!!  HOW.

How anyone can say education standards have fallen after reading this is beyond me. If exams are getting easier then I dread to think how ridiculously simple they must be now.

FWIW I have huge sympathy with the OP, and hope a satisfactory resolution can be found. Good luck.
