i watched the show today and just want to say I'm a single mum on benefits and i have tried to get work for years the problem is no one is willing to give me a shot without qualifications or as soon as they find out i cant be fully flexible my application is denied so not every one likes being on benefits if i could get work i would happily do it and i certainly don't get as much as some people on that show were talking about i get £65 a week to keep me and my son

I completely agree with the fact that people should not depend on benefits to live instead of getting up and getting a job. i do however believe that it is a lot harder for some people to find these jobs due to a lack of them and due to the money issues. Benfits do give people better opportunities, i am not condoning the fact that people are too lazy to work, i am however saying that it is not as easy as Jeremy kyle makes out to find these jobs and to support yourself and your family. I believe that he should perhaps go out for the day as an unemployed person in society and find out for himself just how hard it can be. Not everyone is lucky enough to find a break such as big as his, to have their own TV programme and to have money come easy for him. I believe that he is slightly misguided in his opinions and is unfair somewhat considering his circumstances.

I have watched the show today where Jeremy has gone out to people's houses who are on benefits.  I'm not joking, I could almost cry I am so annoyed and frustrated!!  I have worked since I was 16, very hard too I might add.  I live alone and have no children.  I was out of work when I was 18 for 6 months, due to depression and was told that I wasn't entitled to job seekers and only got my national insurance contributions paid for.  I got myself back to college, got the qualifications I needed and went to work in an office.  I earn £960 per month roughly and out of that, I have to pay for my home and all the bills and food.  I do not have sky or any other 'luxuries' and i don't have a car.  I don't go out drinking, i don't drink at home, I don't smoke or do anything where i would have to spend money where i don't need to.  I have never been abroad on holiday and don't even own a passport.  For the last 10 years I have worked hard to pay off the £42,000 debt I had and thankfully now, I have found myself free of debt.  This has happened because i have worked hard and paid my way fairly.  I also study a degree at home through the OU.  I asked the council if I might be entitled to some help as I am a single person trying to pay my way, they told me that i was not entitled to anything.  I basically have £80 per month to clothe myself and enjoy any sort of a life.  How is it that the council and the government will help the scroungers like Dave and not me!!  The reason why I have very little and people are not able to be paid £10 per hour, as Dave Had said, is because of the scroungers on benefits that can't be bothered to get up and get a job!!  How dare these people sit there and try to justify claiming when they don't need to!!  Why should I work hard and long hours so that those people can do nothing and go on holiday and enjoy a better life than me? I hope that the government cuts benefits in general.  In saying this, I am sorry to those who are unwell and genuinely need the money, I have a friend with MS who cannot work, but unfortunately, this I'm sure is the attitude of many people who are finding themselves in the same situation as me.

I have just caught the end of the benefit britain show and wish I was earning £1700 per month ( i take home half of that and have to pay all my bills and housing costs) as Cheryl and Robert are by being on benefits.  I am single mum who works full time and always has apart from having my two girls.  The only time I used the benefit system was when my husband left me 13 years ago and I got myself a part time job and gradually worked my way up to working full time.   Both my children are educated to degree standard.  My eldest is recently married and working but Istill have my youngest at home.  She is a BSc and is tearing her hair out as she just can't get a job.  She hates being on benefits.  I just wish she could get a job, she is very willing to work.  Some of those people on benefits, especially parents of grown up children need to get off their backsides and get some self esteem and confidence and get a job, I know its hard but anything is a start and you feel so much better by doing something worthwhile,  Helen

I was absolutely incensed with Jeremy Kyle today, it is so true he doesnt live in the real world, he is so quick to shout out his views when in reality i dont know many people who have the same attitude has the people he interviewed today.

It is not easy living on benefits, I have a disability and having worked for 35 years prior to becoming ill i now have to live on £80 a week.  I would love jeremy kyle to come to my  house and live on the amount of money I have to live on, he would only be able to do that on the planet he lives on.  it certainly isnt the same Britain i live.  I agree some people scam the system, but jeremy kyle never never goes and interviews the families who dont want to live on benefits and dont get £1700 per month, that wouldnt make good television.  NO jeremy Kyle would rather lead society into believing we are all scroungers, benefits should be cut etc etc well I dont have enough to live on thats for sure.  with my disability etc my quality of life sucks  so Jeremy Kyle before you transmit these programmes again you should take a long hard look at your opinions and at least make a more rounded fair programme
