My neighbor, an old grandad at home with his mum, has took in his grandson of 14-years-old. For years his been having trouble with him and that his grandson is abusive and disrespectful to both his grandad and great-grandmother. I used to look after his grandson sometimes when his friends ditched him but now his getting out of hand. Hanging around with groups of no-goods and coming in at 4am at night. I'm worried that he'll turn and harm his grandad or great-grandmother because of his temper. I want to see him go to bootcamp and learn some disaplince before he gets into real trouble on the streets.
Can you help?
I'm doing it for the sake of his grandad and great-grandmother, they're good friends.

Hi Funky.
It sounds to me like the 14yr old may have more on his mind than just wanting to make trouble. If his Guardians have not yet asked for the advice of their GP, then please encourage them to.
Why is he with his Granddad and Great Grandmother? Is it because his parents couldn't cope with his behaviour or has there been some tragedy which caused his re-location? At what age were problems with his behaviour first noticed?
Is he the same at school as he is at home?
Also do you know his preferred drugs if any?
Like Glue(you would smell it at some point), Butane Gas(empty cans under bed if doing it at home), Petrol, Tobacco, Cannabis, Poppers(small brown meds bottle sometimes with a fancy modern label), Alcohol or Heroin or other drug-like activities like Thrill seeking, Stunts, ever been seen on top of roofs or up the top of tall trees or although unlikely at 14yrs, Gambling of any form, like fruit machines perhaps?

I would be happier to pass on my feelings as someone who was exactly like that at 14yrs old, if you could just let me/us know a bit more that's relevant to his long term behaviour and how he came to be where he is now(geographically speaking).

Get back to us please and Good luck.
