hi, im tiffany, i know im to young to contact the show, but this realy is my last resort, my mum kickd my dad out of the family home when i was just 7, i am now 14, 15 march 2010, The reason for my mam kickin my dad out was because he used tu physicaly abuse us, by that i mean he wud slap me for the slightest thing i did, he used tu hit both me and my sister, that was happening from when i was around about 2 years old, that all started, But the final straw in the hay stack was when my dad strangled my sister, she now has a phobia of people touchin her neck or anywhere near that area, my sister has a eatin disorder, so this has also made that quite bad, But it hasnt effected my sister as much as wht it has affectd me, my dad just walks in and out of our lifes when he please's he run away tu bulgaria not long after the seperation ++ the divorce, we was due tu go to his house one sataday, turnd up at his house to find that all his stuff had gone and the house was empty, this broke my heart, because i am a proper little daddy's girl, he was away for about 3 months, this broke me in to i used to sit and cry to my mum every night and he left my mum to pick up the pieces i still remeber this one fone call he gave us and he sed he couldnt phone us no more because it killed him speaking to us, well im sorry but he shouldnt of dissapeared in the first place then, he came back about three months later and acted like nothing ever happend,  ever since then he has been in and out back wards and forwards in our lifes, and i admit it i am messed up in the head because of this, I have been self harming for almost 2 and a half years now because of this issue,I feel as though my dad just doesnt care about me or any1 else to be honest, he now has a new fiance, and she has four kids, and a grandbaby on the way, He treats them with more respect and love then what he ever has to his biological kids, i havent seen my dad since 22nd december 2008, And that was only for an hour to get our christmas presents, i have been living up in county durham for alsmot 3 years now, and he has only bothered with us for about a months worth of this times i have seen him about 3 times in which he come up to visit up, but only because i was nagging for him to come up, my mam tells him that i self harm but he realy isnt interestd, i have lost out on my child hood because of this, because i have grown up alot in the last seven years, im 14 but i act about 18/19.... people always say to me ' god tiffany you act alot older then your age' ... and yes there right i do, because thts all ive have ever realy known to do since the age of seven was to be the father figure in the house.... but now that my brother nd sister and 10 and 13 in november, its making life very difficult, because i self harm they is alot of shouting in this house, it can be verry unplesant at times, i dont want my dad in my life no more, i just want him to listen to what i have to say to him, But due to the violence i used to get of him, im to scared to do this in a non controlable enviroment, because i am scared of what he might due, To me he is more like a sperm donar then anything else, yes he pays for us, but whts money, its bit of paper, its not that what i wanted it was his love, but he has lost his chance, ++ i just want to finaly draw the line in the sand and tell him exactly how it has been for us, andd exactly how we feel, and whyy i am self harming, why i am failing in school, because all i think about is my dad.... if some of the show or any1 would be able to contact me this would be great, thank you ..

my dear I have read this and it has moved me. I wish I could help more than this. I hope you have profesional help for the self harming, if you have not it is imperative that you seek this help. I have seen self harming during my own time within institutions as well as my own self harming. You are right to want to face the cause of the problem and it should be in a controled enviroment as your farther does sound violent. Any man that does this to a child has no right to be a farther and no child deserves this behaviour. my personal view is strong on this but I am sure you can emagin. It is the duty of a parent to protect a child.
you may get some useful advice from us on hear, but you do definatly need personal support from a profechional.  build yourself up so that you are ready to face your dad without haveing that strength inside you it may bring you to a lower point, and we dont want that. good luck and I wish you well

You should also do some reaserch at your local council because they do hold summer camps and have programmes for young people just like you that want some help or even go to social services they would offer help and support for you all and they arent the big bad wolf they just become that if people dontseek help and just let these things happen. I hope it all works out for you
