Hi Daisy, i've been thinking hard about this, especially as the person is so young and been through so much in such a short period of time.

Have you considered restarting the councilling. I feel that every issue needs to be tackled one at a time, lengthy I know, but the success rate is better.

Is there any local youth support to you, like connexions, if you let me know what area you live in, I can always try and find some info about support close to you.

I have contacted the councilling people who she was dealing with but they say the programme she was on is finished and they don't think they wll be able to take her on again.

We are in Carrickfergus, Co.Antrim,  N.Ireland any help you could offer would be greatly appriciated.

Hi Daisy, here is a useful website with various youth support services, when I find more info about anything else I will let you know asap. I hope it helps a little.

Im sorry your daughter has been through so much and it is tough for young people who are in so many ways still trying to develope emotionally. Prehaps you could encourage her to join us here we could be the invisable outlet she may need someone who wont look at her and make her feel uncomfortable for the way she is feeling prehaps we can offer her some controls she may need we all have a story and history with depression and we can all offer her some support

We hope the web site is of use to you in some way. Please her know, that if she does want to talk about anything, she will not be subjected to anything that will cause upset, we will always do our best to support by sharing ideas, looking at issues from another point of view, but in the main, we will be positive.

It would be good if she does talk and share, maybe, when she comes through this, she might find herself in a position to support others, possibly as a youth support worker or something. I feel that her experiences could help her on a good career path as many young people prefer to be assisted by someone wh has been through what they are going through. (if you know what I mean)
