looking for my half brother

hi can anyone help me! im looking for my half brother who i have only just found out about. His name was GAVIN HOLDEN this may have change as i no his mum is married so he may have taken his mums married name, her maiden name was DEBBIE HOLDEN. She owned a hair salon in stockport but sold it about 2 years ago. Mine and gavins dads name is ROBERT (bob) SHIRLEY. He had a twin sister LESLEY CAHILL who died last year but was the only person who would have been able to get in touch with them for me.Lesley also owned a salon in stockport. Gavin is aged between 30 and 35. I do believe he is still living in the cheshire area. Hope someone can help me.

Hi cmshirley, what area of Stockport were they from, I know alot of people in Marple, Bramhall, Davenport, Edgeley, Adswood,Brinnington and other areas. If you could give a bit more info I can certainly ask around for you.

any idea what the hair salon was called at the time? Maybe if you wrote a letter explaining the situation the new owner might pass on the info, just a thought

hi johnfranklyn, it was either gorton or romley! i dont really no much about the area myself as i am way down south, but if you could find out anything then it would be very much appreciated. i do no his mum worked at manchester airport before she became a hairdresser.

Hi cmshirley, i'll be speaking to family and friends who live in Stockport tonight so i'll start asking questions. Gorton actually comes under the Manchester boundary, but I also have friends who live in that area, just as a side note, i know the area quite well as I lived their as a child and was born close to it. Should I get any info of any use, I will let you know immediately.

as promised i've had a chat with a few friends who believe that members of the cahill family are living around the Marple area and D.Holden could be either living in Bredbury in the area of Gilbert Bank or Stanley Road Stockport. I'm not sure if they are the same family but maybe in the building industry in the Stockport area.

The only G.Holden known to anyone in the Stockport area is believed to be living in the Grosvenor road area in hyde.

I'm not sure if this is of any use, but it is the best I can come up with at the moment.
