My birth mother name is Edith Alice Rouse born in April 1924 in Cardiff. I was born Rachel Miriam Rouse on 2.9.59 in Bangor Wales. My birth mother had a troubled time throughout her life and I have been trying to locate her. She will be about 85 years old now, last living whereabouts was in Brighton in 1963 when she gave birth to my half sister ( never met) Deborah Ruth Morley her married name.
I want to be able to tell her about my life as I know she was very troubled at my adoption. I want to tell her I have had a good life and now play the flute at weddings. She has 3 gorgeous grandchildren the youngest 17 years old and the eldest 28 years old.
As far as I know from searches, she could still be alive and I would dearly love to meet her.

Can you help Jeremy

Kind Regards

Rachel Illsley

Hi,
I was adopted and my birth name was Deborah Ruth Morley, I was born in 1963, and born in Brighton, it might be a wistful wish, but could your mum be my mum, and could I be your half sister. My adopted parents were called Everson and I was handed over to them my my fathers family Morley. Have wanted to find out about my birth family as I always found questions that are not answered. All the family Everson are passed away now, and the thoughts of finding who I really am are now in progressing to the point where I am in the process of trying to obtain my records. Hope I will hear from you soon, my warm wishes to you, take care. Thank you for spending the time reading this and any help you are able to offer.

Have either of you had any success in tracing your families?

Unfortunately neither of us have any further leads.I feel sure our mother may still be alive. Is this something the show could assist with? Kind Regards Rachel Illsley

I honestly don't know but it's worth contacting the show.  I know I am going to ask very obvious questions that you've already thought about and tried so please bear with me.

Have you tried Genes Reunited and Friends Reunited? - I found my son through Genes Reunited and I wasn't actively searching.  Fortunately he had joined with his original name and put up a basic tree.  If you haven't it's worth posting messages on the site.

Ancestry.com is fairly good.  If you can afford the membership fee Norcap ( http://www.norcap.org.uk/default.htm ) can help, also After Adoption ( http://www.afteradoption.org.uk ) may be able to help - I think they will do that for free.

I hope you do manage to find her because it will be closure for her too.  I was coerced into surrendering my son who was in 1981 and it is the most painful experience I have been through.  A day didn't go by when I didn't think of him so it was answer to prayer that I found him alive and well.
