My family were split up when I was two years old . There was my Mother , Father , Brother , Sister and myself . We lived at 23 Temple way , East Malling , Kent .
Some thing happened , I was taken to a local family , where I was looked after until I reached 12 years old , then Social Services took me into care . At the same time my Brother and Sister were taken to another famly to be taken care off , my Brother and Sister were later taken into care also . I have never met my Father or Mother and have no memory of my Brother and Sister .
My Fathers name is Derek Moon . My Mothers name is Melanie Evans . Brothers name is Johnathan Evans and Sisters name Lorraine Evans .
I am desperate to find my family , I have always been trying . Social Services refused to help me and now I realy do not know what I should do . I am now 37 years old and fear that I may die never knowing the truth of it all . Some one must know some thing about where my family have gone . Please help !

I think its quite shocking how you where split this way and they did not keep you intouch with each other. Surely things are not done the same way these days. Did they just refuse point blank to help, are they not allowed or is it they cannot trace things that far back?

I didnt get a Social Worker until I started school and that was because I told a Teacher that the parent I was with wasnt actualy my Mother and it was reported . I was taken to see my Brother and Sister on a few occasions when I was young at about 7 or 8 . At the time I was told my Mother and Father were no where to be found . I was adventually taken into care when I was 12 and placed with in a temporary home . I never saw my Brother and Sister again . Then I was placed in a childrens home at 13 or 14 , I asked to see my Brother and Sister and was told I could not . I asked if they could find my parents and was told they were untraceable . I left the childrens home when I was 16 and the next 15 years of my life have been hell . But then I found my misses and we have a boy , life is much better now .
There is a huge black whole in my Psychic , a lot of pain and unhappiness . I think I can make a lot of that go away , if I could find my family , I'm sure of it .  
I did ask if Social Services had a file on me and could I see it , they gave me a flimsy folder containing very little .

Must have neen awefull, cant even imagine what it must have been like for you especially not being able to see your brother and sister. I dont understand why the social services dont have any information on your brother and sister, i mean they must have had records at the time. ?!

Probably a silly question but have you tried all the usual searches the electrol roll databases etc.? and the salvation army tracing service?

I have contacted the Salvation Army , they said that they couldnt have anything to do with Adoptions . They said supposing my Brother and Sister were adopted then they couldnt have any thing to do with it , in which case they wouldnt be able to help me either way .
The electrol role search will only allow the search to go back to 1984 . The period previous to 1984 will be a blank , I could search for all the names and all the addresses and then contact them one by one , some thing I will do at last resort .
Social Services do have records but they can not let me see third party documentation as it against the law .
I have been looking at ukpeople finder to find my Mother possibly , its some thing in the region of £200 per person upwards . The risk of handing cash over and getting nothing in return is some thing im trying to over come . My boys food and clothing has to come first every time .

you should maybe take a look what searches tracesmart offers, i have read they have the largest database. £2oo seems a hell of a lot, do they do the searching for you or is that just for access to everything they offer?

ukpeoplefinder do the searching for you . I will look at tracesmart , but I will only be able to look for my Father as my Mother may have married as may have my Sister and I cant be certain that I know my Brothers name although I'm certain his surname was Evans . If my Brother and Sister were adopted then they are unlikely to have their original birth name .
If I do find any one on the electrol role how can I be sure as to who they are . I'm sure there are many people out there with names similar to the names I will be searching .

Thats a good question, I suppose the most you can do is write a letter to each of them.
