was on the first series

I was on the show the last episode of the 1st series back when they were doing nice shows about weight etc. I was on with several women some who had issues with being overweight and others who didnt. I wasnt happy about how we were treated. I had a phone call thursday and was asked to do a show, got one of my mates to come with and we were in a taxi to london by the thurs eve, we arrived at our hotel at midnight and the only food available was pizza (paid for by JK show but ironic as it was a show about being overweight). All evening we were called by researchers, they were even calling us up to half 2 in the morning but making sure me and my mate werent in the same room when they called, asking all sorts of questions. the next day i did the bod pod and then we were taken to the studio, we were immediatley seperated, were not allowed to speak to each other and escorted to seperate green rooms where i met the other people who were appearing on the show. JK came in briefly to say hello then we had a tour of the studio and were given an idea of how it was going to work. Finally it got to my part and I couldnt believe my ears when I heard the fact that I apparently was an embarrassment to my friends, being outrageous on nights outs, wearing unsuitable and revealing clothes that i shouldnt and generally making a fool out of myself at all time. This was not me at all, I've always worn suitable clothes, been responsible when i go out cos i dont drink and i do not make myself look ridiculous. What was worse the mate i took on the show with me was a pub mate and we'd never been shopping together so they put words into her mouth so i was livid by the time i got on the stage and i think JK knew it. The show didnt last long and then we were piled into a green room where one woman was threatening to sue cos they'd made her look like she's made her kids overweight on tv when she never. We were put into a executive car for the drive home about midnight again. My mate was in tears all the way back because i was angry with her not cos of what was said, but because she didnt have the decency to open her mouth and deny what JK said about me.
Anyway, since then I have not spoken to her, the show aired, and my life went on. I was promised all sorts of things that never materialised like a talk with a nutritionalist, a fitness plan and other help. The only thing i did get was a copy of the bodpod results through the post. I didnt enjoy my experience, I felt they tried to get drama out of my situation and create tension for a good show which was not the reason i was on it. Now I'm still overweight, I've had a child and I'm with a man who loves me for me not my size, but whenever anyone says they'd like to go on the show I tell them what happened to me and they seem to change their mind.
